Here’re several reasons why not adding banner ads on your blog, the reasons
below are opposite to monetizing without banner ads that we’ll discuss in the
next section - How to monetize without banner ads.
1. Banner ads don’t give valuable information to your visitors.
Banner is restricted by its size; 460x60, 728x90, 300x250, 125x125, and more. So
the information is not too complete. Yes, banner is able to catch visitor eye
because of its nice looking. But the problem is: is it targeted? Is the banner able
to explain about the site or product details?

One of the reasons is you have too many banners on your blog. I’m amazed with
one of Amazonian Profit Plan’s methods, wherein they (Wanda & Paula - the
creator of Amazonian Profit Plan) always try to remove the blog sidebar for their
Amazon product review posts. The purpose is to keep visitors focus on reading
the content (review posts/pages for Amazon products), and the result is higher conversion rates - means more money of course.
3. Banner ads only work well for high traffic blog.
Banner ads will only work well for blog that has high traffic, let’s say the high traffic is traffic with more than 500 or 1000 visitors a day. I have tested it on several of my blogs, here’s the illustration:
Less traffic blog without banner ads. Average 40 visitors a day, it’s able to generate sales from the product review articles.
High traffic blog with banner ads. Average 300 visitors a day, no sales made from banner ads. I also track affiliate link both on articles and banners. I embed affiliate link on articles and sales made from it, whereas no sales made from banners.

Now we’ll discuss how to make money with your blog without using banner ads.
The methods below are the most effective ways to monetize your business blog.
Here they are:
1. Product review
With this method you write review articles for certain products that related to
your blog topic, as compensation you’ll earn commission for any sale made via
your affiliate links that you embedded on the articles.

2. List building (email marketing)
List building is essential to grow up your business, whatever the way to build an email list; using landing page or squeeze page, or using your blog, list building is a must for serious internet marketer. This is a long term asset, if you are serious of making money online there’s no reason to not starting email marketing.

The purpose of offer box or web box is to offer/recommend several or one product, in the content of offer box contains your affiliate link and you’ll make money for any sale from that link.
Here are several criteria of how offer box should be:
1. Put it at the bottom of each post.
2. One paragraph for one product, so you must able to describe as brief as possible and at the same time as complete as possible. Because you don’t have enough space to store the offer box.
3. The sentence must able to attract visitor attention.
4. No more than two paragraphs.
5. Anything that has good interface. I think you have your own idea that
would be better. Well, let me show you some examples:
What was amazed me is it has generated sales more than I imagined. This method works well for me consistently and the best of it is the easiness. When
you write an article, simply embed affiliate links that related to your topic into your blog post.
1. Embed affiliate link into post content without describing what it is about.
Sometime it’s not highly relevant to your post. Here’s the example; said you are writing an article about “how to create video presentation”, then within your article there was found ‘search engine optimization’ word. You can simply add an affiliate link on that word. As you can see, “how to create video presentation” is not directly related to SEO or Search Engine Optimization. Please note, I suggest you don’t add too many affiliate links to the non-highly related words, I usually restrict maximum at 2-3 words. For the words that are
highly related to the article I suggest you to use maximum at 5-8 words.
